So Many Story Times!

Your little one loves books and your excited to visit the store, but not sure where to start? Well, there is an activity for every one at Books and Cookies!

The best place to start is probably one of our special spins on the classic Story Time. I know you can hear books read with enthusiasm at the libraries for free, but this is something different! By adding songs, active movement, instrument play and more we’ve created the perfect way to engage your enthusiastic baby, energetic toddler and inquisitive preschooler.

Movers and Shakers Story Time

Offered Monday and Friday at 9:30am

This ACTIVE literacy adventure is great for little ones who can't sit still! Our story times are open to all ages, but this one is perfect for toddlers! We will read stories, play games, dance and play with the parachute.

Musical Story Time

Offered Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30am

This MUSICAL literacy adventure is perfect for all ages! Babies to big kids will enjoy getting into th action as we weave hands-on instrument play and dance into storytelling.

Story Time Adventures

Offered Wednesday at 10:30am

With this unique story time, perfect for our older toddlers and preschoolers, we will bring stories to life with enthusiasm, songs, props and crafts. After our storytelling is complete, we’ll go on a physical adventure from dinosaur egg-hunts to wild rumpus dance parties that tie into the theme of our books, then finish with a simple craft.

Story Time Play Dates

Offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 4pm

Our afternoon Story Time activities happen in our Outdoor Classroom! With a little looser structure and focus on play, we will We’ll stories and have sing-a-longs outside, then engage in a special, interactive playtime! Whether we get crafty, sensory with bubbles, or wiggle our bodies, your little ones will love this activity. Even when the activity’s done, you can stay and play!

Love what we do, but can’t make it in store? We can bring our Musical Story Time to your playgroup or party at your house, park, where ever!

Musical Story Time Play Date

During this 45-minute interactive story time play date, we will read stories, play games, dance, play musical instruments or play with the parachute. We bring all the supplies: blanket or outdoor carpet, books, instruments, props, parachute for you and your friends. $175
