Happy St. Patricks Day

Top of the mornin’ to you!

We spent all morning searching for something (anything) GREEN to wear to school today. My daughter, Callaway had learned at preschool yesterday that it was ST. PATRICK'S DAY and this is what she NEEDED to do to celebrate. Of course, we own very little green, so this was a challenge. She also wanted to know who the leprechaun was.

Well, to me St. Patrick's day for most years past has been about being Irish and drinking green beer, but as the mom of an inquisitive toddler, it was time to do some research.

That silly old lady is back in time for St. Patrick's Day and now she's swallowing items to make the perfect rainbow to hide a pot of gold!

Callaway loves the idea of a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so this afternoon, we will paint rainbows with our own pots of gold (you can never go wrong at my house with a craft that includes glitter). Join us this Friday at our Crafty Kids Play Date (11:30am) and at the Farmers Market this Sunday (9am-1pm) to make your own St. Patrick’s Day Crafts.
